Strategic Resources and Solutions, Inc. was formally established in 2005 in direct response to the needs of nonprofit and for profit organizations for a single source of funding and technical assistance in implementing strategic solutions. For years, the founder, Dr. Debra Allen, has served as a resource too many organizations filing articles of incorporations, preparing bylaws, and advising on corporate structure.
SRS is an outgrowth of many successful years of grant writing experience in an educational arena and later in the nonprofit arena. From corporate structure, Dr. Allen began to write grants for a nonprofit organization that she founded, New Hope World Outreach. New Hope has successfully received funding for after school and summer camp programs. During the course of tenure at Broward Community College, Dr. Allen wrote, coordinated and/or managed over $17 million in grant funds that were local, state, and federal awards. The same skills and techniques used in that area were further used to help nonprofit organizations get their proper footing in securing grants.
SRS understands that some organizations may choose to train a team of grant writers to be on call to solicit funding annually. In 2003, Dr. Allen began teaching a grant writing seminar that provides a clear understanding of what it takes "to fund the vision." From there, SRS began to cultivate for profit clients and assist with corporate structure.
Over the years, SRS has gained the reputation of an organization that empowers others with the tools and resources to get the job done with a spirit of excellence. One of the hindrances to implementing an excellent program is a lack of finances. SRS wants to help organizations overcome that barrier to success by connecting them to right funding sources.
